The INDIA bloc’s ‘Ulgulan Nyay’ rally in Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand witnessed notable absence on Sunday as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was unable to attend due to sudden illness, according to Congress leader Jairam Ramesh’s statement on X.

Ramesh conveyed that Rahul Gandhi, scheduled to campaign in Satna and Ranchi, had taken ill, confining him to New Delhi. Despite Gandhi’s absence, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge ensured his presence at the Ranchi rally following a public gathering in Satna.

The ‘Ulgulan Nyay’ rally in Ranchi, boasting an impressive lineup including Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita, and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana, aimed to showcase the strength and unity of the opposition.

With 14 political parties participating, the rally at Prabhat Tara Ground intended to galvanize support for the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) amidst ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024, which are underway in seven phases across the country.

Tejashwi Yadav, emphasizing the coalition’s objective, highlighted the rally’s significance in addressing injustices and upholding democratic values against the backdrop of current political dynamics.

As India navigates through the electoral process, the rally’s resounding messages resonate with the electorate, underlining the critical role of opposition alliances in shaping the nation’s political trajectory.
